There is a TSB or recall for our instrument clusters. Mine (I think mainly on cold days) displays "Start Engine" while I'm driving off first thing.
I mentioned earlier how Princeton Porsche tried to replace every recall-related part on my car when I brought it in a couple of years ago (2003 turbo)... well the cluster wasn't available.
There are other known issues with the cluster that I experience, no dial backlight and no more warning sounds from the speaker.
Replacing/repairing is on my to-do list.
