Default Newbie! Cayenne GTS DE3

Hello everyone!

New Cayenne owner here! Bought a 2009 GTS Design Edition 3. After looking at a few dogged Turbo's and Turbo S's, this popped up for sale so I thought I'd go for it!

Looking forward to being part of the forum. I've already been reading up on various threads and it seems there's a wealth of knowledge out there.

I've owed her for about 2 months now, and finally got round to taking some decent photos:

Thanks for the kind words and warm welcome!

It's been interesting to read up on past posts on the forum, from back when this model was released, to others selling theirs and how people's opinions had developed. I've loved driving the car so far, and although it's not perfect, I can't wait to enjoy it!

Cool truck. Is it a MT or a tip? Any cool interior features with that edition to go along with the badging?

You should be able to find those 2 missing front bumper covers on ebay or from a dismantler. I might even have the driver's side in the stainless finish from my Turbo S if you can find a matching passenger side.

Also, if you're looking to upgrade the brakes, I have the complete Turbo S brake setup from my 09 TTS for sale in the marketplace (rotors, calipers, pads, lines, etc) to fill out the centers of those sport design wheels. I installed PCCBs on mine.

Hello!

It's a tip, and there are a couple of extra interior features: door sills with the Design Edition 3 logo, some red stitching on the dash and carbon trim on the dash. Apart from that, it's pretty much GTS spec inside.

Good spot on the front bumper covers...I have ordered some already, plus the RH side jacking point cover. I do wonder how these get lost, stolen? Fallen off? Careless garage/owner? Anyway once they're on I'll be a bit happier with the exterior.

As for brakes, the previous owner fitted new discs and pads before the sale. I do love the size of the Turbo S brakes. Out of interest, the PCCBs must have been a fairly expensive upgrade?

Had the front tow covers and driver side jacking point covers replaced. Made me realise it looked pretty bad before!

I guess they were left off by a previous garage or tow...

That color combination is head turning for sure. I've never seen a 957 DE in person and I wonder how many of the 1000 made it to the US? Interesting that the DE03 pkg went with the more subdued rear spoiler as opposed to the more common bi-plane one, or was that orig owner's preference I wonder?? Either way, gorgeous truck!

Hi, yes it must have been owner preference for the spoiler, as I thought it came with bi-plane style one as standard. Could be wrong though. There are a few other interesting option choices by the original owner. No PDCC - I guess that wasn’t stock. It doesn’t have air ride either which is strange...perhaps they wanted the simplicity of standard coils?

My car is a UK car, I think the USA received 100 if I’m not mistaken.

I’d never even heard of one before I saw this for sale. I was intrigued and loved it when I saw it and drove it. Don’t imagine having the chance to buy one again either.
