Default Headliner Help

The headliner on my 06 Cayenne S is being replaced by someone who is totally incompetent, she says. I think that’s totally unfair and doesn’t speak well of her choices in men. The issue that has me teetering on competence or not is removing the headliner tray or support or whatever it’s called. I have everything loose or removed except for the area around the sunroof. All the other fasteners have popped loose with some forceful pulling and cussing. Am I just not pulling hard enough or is there a different kind of fastener around the sunroof?

Are you sure you are pouring enough beer AND cussing into the problem? I have found that projects like this on the Cayenne take about 3 times as much beer and cussing as most other vehicles. Please let us know. I can tell I am going to need to do the headliner in mine in the not so distant future.

Sorry, OP, I don't know the answer to your sunroof trim question. Maybe lookin the PET parts diagram will show you whether they are just more of the same clips you've already successfully pulled or something different.

Sagging headliners is one reason I opted for the Pano roof. It only has about 6" of liner border around it so no fabric weight to cause the sagging.

Default Sunroof Shade

With help from the forum I got the headliner out but had to take a break for the hurricane to blow by. Now I’m trying to deal with the sliding shade for thee sunroof. Anyone with experience removing a sliding solid shade on a Cayenne? Thanks
