If you are planning to run all year in NH then who cares as it will get salty anyway. Judging from the mileage of the other 06 you are looking at I doubt this will be a garage queen collector car. Buy it, enjoy, and destroy.

Adding: probably any of the V8s are enough for normal use. Just this week I've been over 100 once and over 90 a handful of times. Body slid through exit ramps about 3 times in 2nd or 3rd gear (tiptronic) making those meats beg for mercy! Bombed through some back road twisties which even with steel suspension is amazingly compliant through undulating transitions. Not shabby for an SUV! Buy one and just go have fun when you can find open pavement!... In Mexico of course.
I'm actually in WA now, and it'll be garage kept (but definitely will still be driven in winter). Everyone here runs in fear at the rust on the vehicles I brought with me, but I laugh because both of my vehicles are still plenty solid and perfectly good vehicles back east. Just a funny difference between the two areas.

From what I understand about wiring degradation, it'll have a set lifespan anyway that I can't outrun. Looking to get a good 5-years out of it, past that I'll likely run it until the wiring shorts out or something else happens. That said, I'm typically pretty vigilant about maintaining my vehicles. Hopefully I'll find the right vehicle and be able to keep it looking good. We'll see.

The reality is I'm planning on putting plenty into the car. Headlights, taillights, head unit, tires on Day 0, potentially rims to put back to stock. It does have to meet a certain bar for me to put that money in, paint can't be pocked, faded, or scratched such that it can't be buffed out, interior can't be cut or creased, steering wheel can't be worn. I don't feel it's too much to ask but it's certainly enough that I'm not convinced just any car will meet the bar. We'll see once I get pictures (as of this morning still in transport). I do see plenty of Cayennes that meet the bar though, I'd even say most Cayenne Turbos meet the bar as I've been looking. Just haven't been the specs I'm looking for.

Hmm. Apparently this vehicle is "Stuck in arbitration." Stellar start to the conversation, don't you think?

Once it clears be sure to run your own title check on the vehicle! The ~$5 is worth it.

Our 08 CTT has been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. Been 3 years and I've done regular maintenance and a set of coils (now need to replace 1 again) and that's it!

PDCC is a must for me if I was shopping again.

It's a sad day but we will be putting our 08 CTT w/pano, PDCC and 88k miles up for sale pretty soon here. Too many kids!!!! Need 3 rows now ;(

Time for an Escalade! Really they are great SUVs if you need a larger capacity (or tow).

But the Cayenne destroys the Escalade in handling and braking. No surprise there. Then again I think the Cayenne is unmatched in the midsize SUV segment for performance. (the small SUV segment is becoming more competitive on performance, so no comment there.)

FWIW we are rolling down on kids so in the next few years we plan on downsizing ASAP! LOL

If I were going back to big luxe utes, the new Navigator is better than the Escalade in pretty much every objective category, including price.

LS4Life! I am a huge LS engine fan and have ~200k on the current 10 6.2 Escalde and our old 05 6.0 we sold to a friend now has over 300k with untouched longblock. They just run forever with M1 oil

We buy to go until ~200k and sell as fully depreciated on all our cars. The reliability goes a long way for our evaluations... The Navi being new has some proving to do IMO. But if someones ownership plans are of a different need (3/5 year) then it probably would not matter. I'll be the first to eat my own words though and think that any new car SHOULD go 200k with minimal drama besides good standard maintenance service.

They sure do! One of the greatest engine designs of all time. Just a shame they stick them in GM interiors lol!

I had an 04 Navigator with the 5.4 DOHC (rather than the problem child 3v) that I had purchased in 2011 with a whole 48k on the clock. That truck did everything great for the 90k miles we put on it- I replaced a single O2 sensor cause I was tired of seeing the check engine light. I only got rid of it because a Chevy Silverado played my hand and rear ended me at a stop light.

The ecoboost motors, even with all the forum whining about reliability, have been a pretty good hit for FoMoCo. =)

Bottom line is.... if you tow race cars, yachts and 5th wheels - the Turbo S would be up your alley. If not.... then a tuned and modified standard Turbo can easily exceed Turbo S power levels. My avatar Turbo is Stage 2 tuned dyno at 574hp at the crank and 586tq. I simply don't need the $3200 big brakes or 7700lb towing capacity. I just wanted 3.9sec 0-60 and 174mph top speed.

Agreed, no to the 3v!

IIRC the EcoBoost complaints are more in regards to oil consumption and a simple PCV catch can will resolve that issue. YMMV. But in general the Airstream pullers love them on F150s!

Lacks cargo capacity in the back for d2d use w active kids or Costco runs. (same w Tahoe/Exploder/etc and forget about the small SUV class they are a complete joke w only 3 bags of groceries) The medium size SUV w 3 rows is a huge compromise to capacity. Give it a few years where all the kids are in sports where you need a medium (or large) cooler and multiple bags for soccer, volleyball, etc and see how that goes. And no stacking piles of crap on top of kids does not work when your tournament is 1+ hours away.

Or pick a daily and then keep an old Suburban / Expedition / Van (sweeet conversion van) as a trip vehicle. Many of the volleyball parents here exercise that option.

Oh yeah. We have a winner. Nobody will top that one, so no need to even try.

BTW, do you notice how amazing that is. It's got the Mom and Dad dragons out front, followed by the teenager and kids. Kind of like the really bad-*** version of this:

And yeah, I'll have dragons on my cars before I have family stick figures like that.

Turns out the Denver Porsche dealership, Stevinson Imports, doesn't do PPIs.

Any recommendations for specialists in the Denver area where I can get a PPI for this car?

Thus far it looks like AutoImports of Denver is the top contender identified by google-fu.

I put down a deposit on the car yesterday, so I need to get this inspection lined up ASAP.
