Pirelli Fire and Ice
I am looking at a pair of new Pirelli Fire and Ice snow tires. I am getting each tire for $240. I am wondering about the performance / comfort / pricing on these. I have the all season Conti's on and they are worn because my alignment is messed up

I have Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snows...never heard of fire and ice
Size: 255/55HR18 Blackwall
HR Speed Rated Price: $128
They have been great so far in the snow and have good dry road manner's for 18's. I only use them for the winter, then my 19's go back on.

Wicked Wagon,
Have your wheels/tires been road force balanced? On lagre diameter and especially light truck tires, standard static balancing is not enough. This can often cause a vibration at speed. Check this website for more info on the Hunter GSP9700 machine.

It took twice to get mine done right at the dealer.
The load force balancer is a sensitive device, on one wheel they thought they had a bad new tire, in the end, all they had to do was rotate the tire on the wheel and it worked.
I was told that PCA would not cover tires under the warranty, but they did a "dealer good will" replacement as it was under 10K when the alignment problems were noticed when they should have done the alignment after 400 miles as some (including mine) were known to have left the factory with bad alignment (mine was April production).
What I find pretty amazing is that the air suspension masked the alignment problem for o long, I only noticed it after I took the wheels off to clean them.
