Default High pressure pump.

I’ve gone thru 2 eBay pumps and now a brand new oem pump and my 2009 cayenne is running worse than it did with the eBay pumps and worse than when it first started. With the eBay pumps it would at least drive fine and crank right over. Could never clear the 1025 codes even with the values reset.
long crank times and no acceleration now with the new oem pump.
1025 and 1026 code.
fuel pressure set point is showing 0.0
fuel pressure actual is is up over 5k.

Might need adaptation, the eBay pumps may of screwed the readings up. Do a search on here as it's been covered before.

i read all about the adaptation. Seems like when you talk to most people they say it’ll adjust on its on. The tech that just did the adaptation on the eBay pump said if I did a new one it should adjust on its own.
just frustrated at the entire thing after 2 months.

How's your in-tank pumps?

Those are brand new, fuel filter is new, regulator is new. The eBay pumps weren’t working bad. Just couldn’t clear the 1025 code. It actually looks like the oem pump is putting out better pressure but it’s running like hell. Long crank and all the same “my pump is bad” signs.
the one strange thing on the scanner was that it was showing set point at 0.0.
it still may need adaptation but I didn’t think it would be running so much worse by just installing a brand new oem pump.

I went through this ...... PIWIS adaption will get you all sorted, since you finally got rid of the eBay units. I am sure, very frustrating. Good luck James.

Thanks Rossi. I’ve read thru your post about a hundred times hoping I didn’t have the same issue. Sounds like it’s exactly the same. Hopefully when I go the dealer tomorrow I’ll have the same positive results you did. I’m definitely done with pumps and check engine lights for a while.

The saga is finally over. After 2 months and 3 pumps all the adaptation codes are clear. Those eBay pumps are a disaster.
