Going offroad - settings?

Yes! Check out www.facebook.com/CayenneGTSOffroad There are quite a few of us that use the cayenne a lot of road, from overlanding to short trips. I think I've hit most things - literally. They are no Jeep or FJ, but a really good balance at doing all things reasonably well. I see the number of people offroading them increasing now too.
I think there is a growing community of us now.

Oh cool - nice page! I live in Dubai so I'd love to take the car off into the desert, but I'd have to get new wheels and tyres first. What are they like on the sand? I'm just worried I'll break stuff.
Edit: Haha! I just scrolled down and realise you live in Dubai too!! Meetup??
I was just up in Oman last week - Khasab. Definitely want to do more. I need new wheels.

When I select Special Terrain Level, the yellow drivetrain symbol (low-range indicator?) displays on the dash. No changes were made using the driving program switch. Is this normal? I'm guessing it's a warning that either: 1) low range has been automatically engaged, or 2) stay at low speed. If not normal, does this mean that there's a drivetrain fault?
Thanks!
