Question How to set default multi-purpose display mode

Hi all,
This question had been discussed in earlier thread but no answer. I am a little bit tired of change mod from average speed (default) to MPG/compress/Nav... everytime I start my car. Can this be done by myself? Of course, I could not find any info in user manual. Can I have dealship do it for me? At least not defaulted in average speed.

I wish I knew. The strange thing is that others have it default to other screens.

Mine always goes to average speed at start up. Others have average MPG or distance to empty. Given that fact, I bet it is somehow user selectable. The big question is how.

Mine does the same thing (default avg mph) and attempts to store the avg mpg setting to the seat memory (electronic comfort package) per previous threads haven't worked either.

I emailed my local dealer. He has no TSB regarding this and is going to contact PCNA tech support to see if one is pending or if there is a workaround.

I did some testing and mine doesn't seem to have a default. It stays/comes on wherever I left it.

Interesting! I have seat memory also. Let me try it tonight and see how it works. BTW, Matt C, Does your smarter Cayenne have seat memory? Comfort pkg? Convenitnet pkg? My not so smart Cayenne S has them.

Mav, my so smart Cayenne doesn't need them. It just knows in what position to put the seat when I'm walking into the garage.

No, seriously. I don't have any of the packages you mentioned. Although I would love to have them but they weren't available at the time of ordering.

Default My Cayenne S defaults to avg MPH too

Regardless of which screen is displayed when I turn the ignition off, it is always the Avg MPH screen that is displayed when I turn the car back on.

I have an '04 Cayenne S with Electric Comfort Package, but no Driver Seat Memory.

Mine remains on Ave. Speed. Useless info!

I have seat memory. Tonight, I'll push some buttons!

I just did some testing and I'm with Matt... it stays at whatever it was last when I turned it off, as it should be.

No need to invoke memory either.

This is a US truck... maybe is related to having PCM, or the convenience pkg or something along those lines?
