Default Adding navigation

So my 2010 doesn’t have factory navigation. What would I need to do to add basically factory navigation? Just change the radio unit or is there more?

thank you in advance.

Use your cell phone and Waze. Much better than adding an outdated Navigation system.

Or check on ali express for one of the Android units that have an OEM "look" to the front

Agree with Libast.

If you really want nav integrated with your car, go with an Android or iPhone (Car Play) head unit. Any nav app on your phone (Waze/Google Maps) will be far more up to date than a Garmin, NavTech, etc., built-in app. If you go this route and don't want to replace your amp, etc., you'll need this or something like it: https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT155/most-hur-955.html

Keep in mind that with the NavTV product, you won't be able to adjust the fader. There are ways to work around this, but they require soldering, extra components, etc., as far as I know. In my 04 CS, I now have a Kenwood DNX893S with the Most H.U.R. adapter. I'm a bit bummed that I can't adjust the fader but it still sounds pretty good (not an audiophile here).

Same here. I do use the built-in map sometimes if I don't feel like trying to pan/zoom on the phone. Like if I want to entertain an alternate route to what Waze has found. Not to fully build a route, just to see the local map. Other than that I don't make much use of the factory nav.

I'd go more for a good Rennline or Pro-Clip mount and a proper phone cradle before I'd bother trying to do a factory radio upgrade. I've got a Rennline with an iOttie wireless charging cradle and it's great.

Not sure if this is helpful, but my 06 Cayenne S had factory nav. The headunit died and I installed an aftermarket Android. So the navigation system under the passenger seat is doing nothing. If you need it, let me know. I THINK you can just plug it in...!?!

I think factory NAV is a costly joke and a technical dinosaur. Smart phone NAV apps are free and constantly updated. I'd rather get a head unit that will interface w/phone apps & screens while streaming audio. Had one OEM in a 2010 Jeep that was basic but I imagine they're way beyond that now. Waze is great and has routed me around bad traffic many times, but it is a data hog.
