I just replaced my aluminum looking plastic dash/door trim with the real deal. Purchased a complete set, taken off a new Turbo in exchange for wood, including the radio bezel from Planet 9 Auto Group in OK, 405-330-9116. I found the parts while surfing Ebay. They mentioned that they have wood packages available off new vehicles. The parts were perfect and the install took about 45 minutes.

The plastic parts don't do S justice, but shelling out $1000 plus labor for your dealer to do it really doesnt either. Check this source out, might save you some $$$.

The overall result is cool. Looks like a $70K vehicle should.

All the trim parts are held on by clips. Removal is simple as long as you take your time and have a small flat blade to help. The only extra work is on the drivers side. The two trim pieces, to the right and left of the key are connected to a common plastic backing that also goes around the key. You will have to remove it, then drill out the plastic mounting that holds the trim parts in place. Then remount your aluminum or wood parts via trim adhesive. Really simple, worked out awesome.

just a question about the woord steering wheel, can that wood trim on the steering wheel be replaced? or i need to order a new steering wheel, for example, i wanna replace carbon fiber trim on wood steering wheel..doable?

You can switch a wooden with a carbon steer without any problems.
Only when you want a wooden or carbon steering wheel to replace a standard steering wheel, you'll need extra parts.

Its very easy to replace. Something like 6 screws and thats all. The instructions to remove it are in the manual for emergency shift procrdure. The electric controls for pasm/LR-diff is a few screws and the wires have a harness so its real easy.

Is the standard "titanium look" trim really plastic? I thought it was textured aluminum. Its also kind of funny that they call the smooth turbo trim "aluminum look" rather than calling it "aluminum."

I think the "Aluminum Look" pieces are painted as such. Not sure what these are actually made of.

Also not sure what is actual material of "Titanium Look" pieces that come standard on the S.

the parts on the S are plastic. The kit from Porsche is $1000, I have researched through a friendly Rennlister for about $750. I paid $400 from Planet. The parts off the Turbo are aluminum. The textured thing just didnt work for me.
