Default Weird electrical issue

2004 Cayenne Turbo - 51k miles

Started the car tonight and got a yellow warning light

'check direction indicators' - I operated them and checked and all function correctly but when operating the rhs turn signal it flashes fast on the instrument cluster as if there was a bulb out but outside they all operated at normal speed!

Also I have the following

'Check front side lights' but again they are all working OK

I switched off and back on again and faults cleared and I drove off.

After about 10 mins I get a 'check direction lights' or words to that effect - basically the cornering lights. Again they are working OK.

Anyone any ideas on what is going on?

Many thanks!

Push on the headlights and make sure they are latched (using the tool)

Have you driven the car in the rain or had rain recently? Have you checked that all your body drains are clear of debris? Have you lifted the front carpet to check the notorious wiring looms for corrosion due to water ingress?

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I'm on top of the drains and all good.

I've removed the headlights, cleaned contacts and re assembled and all tickety boo!

Thanks again! Peace and love etc.
