I just installed the roof transport system myself and am experiencing loud whistling noises from the roof above the sunroof area.

I have tried all the notch combinations for the different placements! Has anyone experienced this and what have you done to fix it?

Slow down or remove the rack.

The whistling starts at around 45mph.

I really hope it's not necessary to remove the racks. I want to know if others with the roof transport have the same problem or it could be a defective rack.

Ok, as per someone's suggestion over at Roadfly, I put the rubber strip back on the rack and it solved the whistling problem!

Could you please tell me what "rubber strip " you are talking about?? Where can I get it?? Same problem with whisling here.

the rubber strip comes with the roof rack and goes inside the grove. you remove them to install things like bike or ski mounts.

on a side note, I lost part of the rubber strips. anyone know where I can order the strips? my dealer said I have to order a new set of rack but I don't buy into that.

BTW, I did'nt get my valet key when I picked up my vehicle and initially was told that if they don't come from the factory with the valet key they can't order another one.

I said that for a $70+K vehicle they'd better give me my valet key or I was going to raise some hell at PAG!

They then said that they would get me the key ASAP and offered me a complimentary set of the owners manuals on CD.
