Cayenne lifted without locking suspension (two post lift) - Advice???
Hi guys!
Working on a Cayenne Turbo 955 I picked up cheap as a little bit of a project. It has some minor niggles I'm ironing out including a brake warning on the dash... However, tried to lock the suspension by putting setting to normal and pushing dial forward for 10 seconds. Nothing came up on screen except the brake warning, so assumed it must have locked.
Lifted it on my two post lift and found it is wasn't as suspension drooped.
Just worried now about put it back on the floor as not dealt much with air suspension. It's lifted equally on all four corners as two post lift (as opposed to lifting only one corner with a jack).
In theory, what happens when they are lifted evenly? I assume the air in the system stays in the system when you lift as it's lifting rather than compressing. So if you lower it evenly the air should be pretty even between corners and so should be good in theory???
Any help much appreciated!

Putting back on the ground won't cause any issues. Lifting while the suspension was not locked may have screwed up the calibration and may think the suspension is lower that what it really is. Put her back on the ground and try to lower the suspension. Report back with what you find.

It's perfectly normal for the suspension to droop when lifted. If the regulation was still on you would have seen the suspension working and the heard the air bleeding off . You can get an icon in the main MFD when you turn the regulation off but the brake warning would have prevented this from showing up. You would still get a small yellow cayenne icon towards the bottom of the display with arrows in it.
I would NOT lower or bleed off any air when you drop it down unless you have the equipment to bleed or fill the accumulators and perform activations. Just get in and drive for a few and it should iron itself out.

Thanks guys, much appreciated! Yes, I did indeed notice the little yellow car icon with the arrows appearing beneath the brake warning screen, and when lifted there was no noise at all, so looks like I did successfully disable it - good stuff!!!
Thanks for the confirmation - makes me feel a lot better :-)

Also, the control module won't let the suspension move up or down with any of the doors open so if you go to test it you have to close the driver's side door or fake it by manually moving the door latch that catches the striker to the closed position with your thumb. I don't know if it will lock for service with the door open or not, but know it won't move with any door open, at least my 957 Turbo S won't.
