Cayenne Turbo Misfire

worth checking that one too. (Do a load check not just a voltage check to confirm a battery's health).

The battery failed so I have now replaced it. Hopefully now all will be well.
I went for a Bosch S5 020 with a 5 year warranty which has a greater capacity than the OEM battery.
BTW I don't have a second battery under my Bose amp and I plan to use the car regularly.
The old battery was a genuine Porsche part manufactured in August 2013 fitted by a main dealer in September 2013. Anyone know what guarantee main dealers give on batteries? Also can't say I'm over impressed with their work, the battery vent pipe was only connected at one end!!!!

"Was there a tube at the other end? My '06 and '11 only had one vent tube going out of the battery box. The other end of the battery has a vent that was plugged up. "
It sounds like yours were the same as mine, with only one pipe.
The pipe was connected to the battery, but just left dangling in the battery box, not connected to the hole which vents to the outside world.

I agree - that shop really risked a dangerous condition. Hydrogen was building up in the battery box due to charging the battery - that could result in a rather explosive condition. Shame on them!

My new membrane arrived mid week so I fitted that, very impressive delivery time.
However all was well for a week until I filled up today, and then about 5 miles later it started to stutter occasionally about 3 times over a 5 mile journey.
The battery voltage is good (12.9v when the car is turned off and locked).
Could having a full tank of fuel cause a problem?
Any other ideas?

Expect to see 14V just above idle.

"What is the voltage, measured at the jump terminals in the engine compartment?

I measured the voltage in the engine compartment and am getting 12.9 v with the engine off. At idle I am getting 14.2 v

14.2V at idle is good...no problem with the charging system.

Well yesterday I had to fill up half way through a 60 mile motorway run.
True to form a few miles after the fill up it started to stutter. I pulled over and fitted a brake hose clamp to the flexible hose at the front of the purge valve, but it was still the same. I believe this eliminates a leaky purge valve from being the cause of my problem. I then tried to loosen the fuel cap, but it was still the same.
I got within half a mile of my house before it became difficult to drive.
The fault code reader showed:
P0441 EVAP Emission control sys incorrect flow
which I assume is because I had blocked the purge valve pipe or removed the fuel cap. I cleared the code.
Battery voltage with the car off and locked was 12.79v measured under the bonnet.
I put the trickle charger on just in case.
It drove perfectly this morning

Fill up time today.
A couple of miles before hand I pulled over, switched off, removed the filler cap and replaced it. The car still drove perfectly.
Then I filled up and straight away it felt it was not quite right. Within half a mile it stuttered. I was close to home but it was far enough to confirm something was definitely up.
Voltmeter was steady on 14 volts
I won't trickle charge it tonight and see how it runs tomorrow.
