Little surprising about the Nokian. They are about the same price point as the Vredestein.
Other than that I refuse to buy a Korean tire.

Just a couple of years ago and they still offer that garbage tire, the Discoverer AT-3. Horrible traction in the winter, dangerous even with half of its tread left. Not much better in the summer...

I've got some Achilles on my CTT. 275/45/20. Honestly...they aren't bad. About 15-20K on them so far and they ride and sound just as they do when I mounted them. Knock on wood.

"Achilles Desert Hawk UHP
275/45VR20 XL 110V BK 400AAA XL 4"

I paid $83/tire.

FWIW, They replaced a set of worn Conti DWS that were noisy by 10K miles.

Ok, totally different tire, same brand. I see they mixed reviews.

I ask because apparently based on web reviews, the sport2 which is the newest version has much much better reviews than the first.

The Achilles were just OK. Balance wise not the best, not enough of a bead protector and only a 103 load rating.

I'm on a set of Atturo az850 now and very happy.

I am jealous of all the tire choices you guys have. My options are pretty much just Continental and Michelin. A few of the cheaper brands are available, but with the Canadian pricing - they end up being at most $100-200 cheaper than the brand names.
