I read your post in the 996Turbo forum. Are you starting off with stock ECU and stock boost controller? Do your Turbos have internal or external wastegates with top and bottom port?
I’ve played around a lot with boost control on my 996Turbo (external wastegates with 2 ports). If you want to get a baseline just connect your reference line directly to your wastegates so you can control boost at your set spring pressure. That’s what I did. You get very consistent control that way.

The only problem that I can see happening with the factory tune is it going into limp mode if your maf reading is way off for the boost your making. With that bigger intake you’ll get more volume of air at 0.7 bar. You might need to start with a tune and then log to customized it.

Bump because I am still looking for a tuner for the stock ecu. I need someone that can do email tunes or fly to TX. and tune live. Dead end after dead end, I cannot count on both hands how many times I have been denied. Someone out there has got to be capable AND excited to be a part of this. Right now I am looking to make as much power on 93 octane as possible. Race gas tune to follow and someone that can do e85 would be amazing. Right now I have one taker but they dont sound like they are into it. I also have some inquiry with FVD but have not heard back.

Yep. Problem is the Bosch me7.1.1 in the Cayenne application was never really exploited in this manner. It is going to take more than an OTS tune for this beast. Even then, how far we can take it is another story. Im confident based on my research that somewhere around 800 chp shouldnt be an issue. My goals are about 400 hp beyond that which is why Im pushing for the Syvecs. But I need to start somewhere. Whoever tunes this factory ecu succesfully will have some serious skin in the game as the Tuner who lays claim to fame. As soon as I can get past the documented Techart, EVOMS, Muron territory of about 700chp I can begin to promote the build as a whole and move forward with some events and record breaking. This should be a Cayenne that can do over 210 and at least mid 11's.

Finally found a tuner!!! They are considered one of the world's finest and I'm really excited they are on board! Out of respect for their efforts in this uncharted territory I won't be disclosing who just yet. I'm anticipating some great results. Plan is to tune for Max boost on 93 first. I'm anticipating that will be somewhere around 20 PSI. Pending results mafless or upgraded MAF's and e85 planned. Expect big progress after Christmas!
