A few questions from a new TT owner...
My Cayenne TT is fantastic... does the job of so many other cars so well...
I do have a couple of questions/observations for discussion to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing these few niggles...
1. There seems to be about a 3% error between the analog and digital speedometers. Here in the UK, where we have an abundance of speed cameras, a degree of precision is required. Does anybody else observe this error and which indication is correct - digital or analog?
2. My CD changer skips now and again... I've only ever played CDR's in it, but they were freshly burned about 4 days ago. Sometimes the change does not read all the CD-text properly. They're 74min CD's. Does anybody else have this occasional skipping problem or am I unique.
3. Windscreen wipers. They tend to smear the window more than clean it. Mine is a 2,500 mile ex-demo, but I would not expect the wipers to be blunt by that point... anybody else have windscreen wiper smear issues?
Like I said, I love the car. This morning I shocked a 996TT by very nearly keeping up with him from 15mph to 100mph... I'd say he gained a car length on me.
Thanks,
LWR

1. I have no differnce between the analog- and digi speedo but i made a test with my handheld GPS and the car speedo shows 4 Km/h more than my GPS
2. some self burned CD`s work - some others not. same in my SL and previous car = so not a cayenne prob
3. my wipers working great after 7K KM`s but you can destroy wipers
very fast when you use them on dry and dirty glass = so not a cayenne prob too

1. Might your speedo difference be or at least inlude parallax error? One has to look squarely at the face of the analog gage to read it accurately. And, of course, since it goes up to about a million miles (or million-and-a-half kilometers) per hour, its gradations are rather course.
2. My Turbo's windshield wipers are the best of any car I've ever had and they're still going great at 8000+ miles and almost 4 months. Every time I wash it I treat them with 303 Protectant, a preservative for rubber and plastic. It's sort of like ArmorAll but is lots longer lasting (and more expensive, of course).

Depends on where & when the vehicle was shipped to the states - some have the "rubber" on them when cosmoline is applied & then removed (a process that degrades the wiper), or if the "rubber" was installed after the process (a better circumstance).
