Hmm. I bought mine with the seats looking like that. Now I know what caused it. BTW, if you do not want to spend that crazy dealership prices for just the leather, check out eBay.

My heated seat was not working, and it was far cheaper to buy an entire seat rather than replacing the leather. Dealership quoted me $1400 for the leather with the heating element. I paid $350 for the seat shipped. plus had my old seat and could part out the motors, etc.

Judging from the date of manufacture, they should have cut you some slack on the price. Just saying....

I guess that they just don't find that many suckers to pay almost 1000 dollars for a factory heated seat cover!! (LOL)

How does it match the 10 year older leather in the car? Is the stuff that got wet improving with time and TLC?

I will post some pictures as we remove the seat and install this new cushion cover At least it was the left side, of course the one that gets the most wear!

Default finally replaced

Well we finally got around to replacing the seat cover with a very expensive factory part (has heated seats) and our man did a very careful job. Unfortunately, the patina does not match!!! (sits very comfortably though with the new factory padding!)
