I don't worry much about marque products, but unique part#s often concern me. In this case, Wal-Mart's batteries do seem to perform just as well as the others, and likely are identical models off an identical line with different stickers.
Walmart batteries are manufactured by Johnson Controls (most major brands, sans Exide, energizer, etc)...they are all the same. We don't manufacture to lower standards for Walmart

My line produced 2000 per day and that was one line out of 13 in only one plant, one shift, one day...where are they all going

I'm glad to hear that, thanks

Since you seem to be pretty knowledgeable, what's the actual internal difference between UPS batteries, telcom batteries, and deep cycle batteries? Just increasing thickness of plates, or is there more to it for current vs discharge time?

I've read that batteries are tailored for cold weather (northern US) and hot weather (southern US) markets.

Ok, got the battery out but there was no vent hose attached to it, assuming it goes to the center port on back side of battery near the top. If I get a hose where does it get attached to in the car, from the battery. Did not see a place immediately that jumped out at me. Not a car guy but should be able to change this battery? Also it only had one mounting bracket, on left side. Should there be one on the right also?

There is only one bracket on the left side.
The right side just has a lip on the tray.
There is also a small lip on the rear of the battery tray which secures the rear of the battery.

If you have the correct size battery, there will not be enough room to slide the battery forward to clear it of this rear lip.

So what you want to do is tilt the battery back, raising the front edge of it past the tray so that you can scoot forward in order to clear the rear lip.

Found the vent hose, but it has a round tip and the vent opening on he interstate battery is more flat and wide, not circular. Thoughts?

Your battery should have come with adapters for the vent.

Assuming that the outer diameter of the oval "flat" vent on your battery is not smaller than the inner diameter of the rubber end on your vent hose, you should just be able to stretch it on there.

Ok, replaced interstate mtp-93 with dura last h8-dlg. Is it possible that the neg and pos stems are bigger on the duralast? Can't get the cables on over the stems even after widening the openings a little bit? Aaaaagh

Methinks you have your battery in backwards.
The positive post is bigger than the negative post.

When viewed from the front of the car, the positive terminal is on the left side (passenger side US).
