Default Newbie 02 6sp Boxster S owner, oil on top of engine?

The engine oil is everywhere on top of engine as shown in images. Where should I be looking for leaks?

It almost looks like it's coming from the power steering reservoir - overfilled or leaky cap?

Puddles of pentosin under the intake is power steering. I would say that is seeping from the intake channels and oil fill tube, as well as question the health of the AOS. Also, clean that thing! Clean it and see where it comes back from otherwise, depending on mileage, it could just be crud seeping out of the intake there. Does it smoke, drip, or pool?

AOS is on the RHS; the power steering reservoir and oil cooler are on the LHS. The oil; apparently engine oil, is sitting completely pooled between the cylinders on both the LHS and the RHS. I power washed the engine with oil detergent last night and will try to clean some between the cylinders with carb cleaner and a syringe to suck up the pools. I will watch every day to see where the oil shows up first and follow up when I know more. Thanks for the suggestions.

Ok. I see the pooling on the left side under the intake of the first pic. That looks a lot like when my power steering pump took a ****. The oil seems a little green, like Pentosin... just sayin.

Otherwise the crap on the intake looks like seepage and I'd not be concerned.

My 97 developed a leak on the oil fill hose a week after buying (used 30K). Back it up on ramps, crawl under and have a look. If its the oil fill line you can bet a good view from underneath.
