Default ABS Fault-What are usual suspects?

Are there any "usual suspects" for the ABS light being on in 97-99 cars, besides simple bad wheel sensor or damaged sensor wiring? Looking at a potential purchase of future spec car but seller says ABS light is on after a recent brake job.

Thanks

Mike

Brake job by who? A Porsche expert shop would have factory tools to pinpoint problem and fix it. Get a pre-purchase Inspection from a well respected Porsche specializing mechanic before buying this car. Not saying it could not be something relatively cheap to fix but no responsible seller would sell a car with this defect so one wonders what else is wrong with the car.

Pre purchase inspection could be the best money you spend on a car. Get a detailed report from the shop with pics.

Thanks all. Unfortunately an experienced Porsche shop was 2 hours away so getting a decent PPI done on a $10k car just wasn't in the cards. Didn't matter as once I put eyes on it I didn't even open the doors and just kept on walking. The car had been ridden hard and put away soaking wet. Front and rear lids didn't fit quite right and no wheel arch liner in the right front wheel well along with the two small "kinks" in the right front fender lip told me all I needed to know.
