Newly Acquired 2011 Spyder
#20
As light as possible, the engine in the right place, open air : IMO the BEST model of all.
This should not have been be a "limited series", ..all the P should be like that.
..Just dreaming to have one with a Mezger engine on it !

Congrats on the Spyder!
As far as how the Spyder compares to the new 981 Boxster S, I think they are two completely different cars. The new Boxster offers many more creature comforts and has an upscale interior. The Spyder is raw in comparison and the interior is no nonsense and focused. Personally I would love to own both, the Spyder for the fun runs and weekends when I don't want the extra comfort and the 981 S for the rest of the week.
If you're looking for a DD, I would pick the 981S. If you're looking for a very focused sports car driving experience I would choose the Spyder. Very different cars with similar capabilities.

Having an UGA license plate is about as far as I will go. Never been a fan of putting decals on any of my cars. Also I participate in four Concours events each year sponsored by my local Porsche Club and non Porsche decals are frowned upon and actually costs you point deductions. So no Dawg/Falcon sticker for me even though I am a big fan of both.
