New to the 986 Family
Hello everyone, My name is Martin.
I am from Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada.
My 944 recently gave me tranny problems so I decided it was time to upgrade.
I looked at a 2005 S and a 2002 S, The 2005 S had scratches and the owner was a little sketchy, the 2002 S was at a dealer but once I saw the 2003 It was hard to even think about the others. The owner is a true enthusiast who took incredible care of the car. she has almost no km on her. Here are some pictures

Low mileage is not necessarily good in terms of the ims. Mind you I bought mine with 49k kilometres. I got the IMS Guardian installed. No troubles in the last two years of ownership. Consider looking at 986 forum under the heading of thinking about buying a Boxster. Knowledge is key here and is your friend. PPI is a must. Do not be in a hurry. It is a buyers' market if you look around. That lady's car does look really good.
Ask for receipts for work done. Any accident damage? Tire condition? Does the convertible top go up and down. Options you want? Manual transmission, psm etc?

Fintro, Drive it and love it, your mileage isn't that low and even if it was the lore surrounding the IMS has grown a life of itself. There is no way I would buy a high mileage Boxster based on the notion the IMS is in better shape. Miles are miles and the suspension and all other parts have that same long mileage wear, personally I'd still rather buy the lowest mileage possible but that's just me.

Welcome Martin. I came from the 928 Forum. I know you will enjoy your Boxster, and it's consistant dependability. Well besides a new water pump replacement. Here is an intersting thread. Not to scare you, but keeping it real...It still is a Porsche you know

Reminds me of my 2004S. Yours looks like new. Still check service history. A lot of maintainance items are either milage or time based. Regular oil changes are one of the most important items.

Thank you everyone, the car came will all the service history, every item bought for the car the receipts are with it. I have the ticket of authenticity. My mechanic used to work for Porsche for 30+ years. We are repairing a torn cv boot but other than that the car is amazing! I will defiantly keep my eye on the filers at oil change to check for metal bits. The thing with the ims I have found Is you only hear the bad stories and never the ones that it was fine in. But that being said I will keep my eye on it.
