Clear Bra
Thinking of putting a clear bra around the front of my new 2013 Boxter. Car is Carrera White, and I'm concerned about long-term yellowing and dulling. Any experiences? Any advice on maintenance, etc."

I wouldn't be too concerned with dulling, most manufacturers have solved that problem. Yellowing could still occur but it depends on how much time the car will spend in the sun.
There is a thread in the Concours/Detailing forum which covers clear bra maintenance. The thread should be right on the first page.
You might also note that there's a 981 forum for the new Boxster.

I had my entire hood wrapped by XPEL. I wouldn't suggest anything but the entire hood because you get a line and it looks terrible!
Film has gotten much better. Today most manufacturers will tell you to avoid any wax containing petroleum distillates!

+1 on FULL hood or you will see the line. pay the price, even if its absurd, for the very best installer in your area. I had a full front end clear bra on my BMW, and i just got one on my 993. i enjoy the stress free driving with them. but your buying the installer not the product. most of the products out there are great today. both of mine were by Venture Shield.
ask your installer:
where the lines will be?
what is being wrapped and whats not?
is he going to remove easy things and wrap around them (washer nozzles, headlights, license plate attachments, fog lights, hood badge, vents ect) < those should be removed so they can wrap the shield into the edge of the car.
hood edges should be wrapped and not cut
make sure your installers shop has really good lighting because when you get it home under your garage lights (assuming they are good) is when you will see any imperfections in how they laid the film.
the process is very labor intensive, its an art.
sorry for the long winded post, this is just what ive gathered after two full professional clear bra installs... were my car's installations 'perfect'... No, i wish they were. they arent bad though...
word of warning. if the time comes to remove the bra, you do risk the clear coat coming up. on a factory paint job i highly doubt this would happen. on a respray, like my car, there stands a chance. That said, i had my hood redone once already and there were no issues.
a good product to use to maintain them is Plexus. you can buy it in marine stores.
