Question Boxster "S" Exhaust into a Boxster "non S"

Can we fit the Exhaust from Boxster S to a later model 986 2.7 "non S" Boxster?

Thanks.

To be more specific:
A custom made exhaust for Boxster S has been taken off, will it fit a late model 986 2.7 "non S" Boxster?

It is a full exhaust system. Is the size of header same for both 3.2 and 2.7 engine?
Thanks.

If it fits 1 boxster it should fit any boxster, BUT stock "S" pipes are bigger inside diameter which will reduce low rpm torque on smaller engines. The car will be louder & slower.

I could be wrong, but doesn't Porsche offer the sport exhuast as option on standard Boxster? In my search before I bought my 2001 standard Boxster with standard exhaust, I did test drive a 2000 standard Boxster with the sport exhaust and noticed that it was louder than mine. I assumed it was an option ordered when new, but maybe the previous owner put it on him or herself. The dealer didn't know. But I have seen other standard Boxster's with the S exhaust and assumed it was option in most cases. Anyway, when I drove the 2000 Boxster with S exhaust I didn't notice that it was any faster or slower than mine, just made more noise. I just didn't like the body as much as the one I bought.

when you say custome made, do you have any specs on the inside diameter of the pipes? If they are stock size for an S model then they should work fine without any power loss but if they are larger then the stock S you might get that problem.

I don't have the inside diameter figures yet. But had the dyno proved of the "S" with 252hp at the wheels. That is the whole exhaust/CAI and ECU.
I am guessing now it's too large for a 2.7 engine.

It will definitely fit. I have a 987 Cayman S exhaust on my car even it fit just fine. A lot of manufacture's sell the same exhaust for the base as well as the s. And the s exhaust and the porsche sport exhaust are not the same.
