2000 Boxster S leaking fuel line. Need info regarding replacement
Hey guys,
I am one of the lucky 00 s owners with an intermix problem. Pulled the engine last weekend and found a crack in the head. Now onto the question about my other issue. While removing the engine I removed the fuel line from what I thought was a joint at the back of the engine bay, turns out it is not supposed to be removed there It is supposed to be loosened at the fuel rail. Well you live and learn, anyway I am having trouble locating a diagram to see if the only fix is replacing the entire fuel line? I know this isn't a wtb section but anyone have a spare?
Thank you in advance

Hard to tell from the pic what is in the way, if the tear is just in the hose not too close to a fitting then you can get a piece of pipe that will fit the inside diameter of the hose and 2 fuel injection hose clamps(make sure they are for fuel injection -high press) or if the break is at the joint where it fits in the pipe, then remove the pipe take it to a hydraulic hose repair place and they will be able to repair it like factory.
Anyway, good luck and Happy New Year

If you go to a Porsche dealer they should have a diagram of the part & can tell you how much a new hose costs. New hose would be best due to age & the high pressure of the fuel. are you going to repair the engine or replace?

The material the fuel hose is constructed of reminds me of push lock. I was going to splice it in, but the line is too soft to safely clamp fuel line to. I am repairing the engine, the 1-3 cyl is cracked everything else is sound.

986.201.267.00 current pricing is $115.00 from Porsche. Don't repair it. It is high pressure FUEL!! Replace it.
It's the same line all the 2.5 cars runs.. a used one should go for around $50
