Default GT3 sport seats in boxster s

I was fortunate enough to have a good friend give me a pair of stock leather/alcantara sport seats out of his '07 GT3 since he upgraded to GT2 folding race buckets - on my 39th birthday no less....

I have a 2000 boxster S.

The seats are manual fore/aft, with a power backrest. side airbags.

1. Do the 4 bolt holes match up with the boxster's holes?
2. I have seen reference to pin adjustments on the tracks....
3. Will this seat mount higher/lower/same as a stock comfort seat?
4. Any downsides to the Brey Krause seat mount bracket that keeps manual fore/aft adjustment and lowers the seat? Does this bracket require drilling the car or seat tracks?

thanks
Sean

I don't know but going from a x87 to an x86 is probably going to be problematical. Not only will you have to deal with potentially different mounting locations but i will bet that the x87 airbags will not talk to the x86 airbag computer.

Whatever you do make sure the key is actually removed from the ignition before you remove or install seats. Otherwise you may find the airbag computer throws a code that you need a dealer or a Durametric to reset.

The seats will bolt right in, the mounting holes are the same in all 9x6 and 9x7 cars. Seat air bags will not function since 986 doesnt have them. Power wire needs to be rewired to make pwer recline work

Nice! Beautiful seats.
What exactly are folding race buckets? I've never seen a race seat that folds.

NJCROC: thanks! that is what i assumed. rewiring the power backrest shouldnt be much an issue since i already have power backrests....

the std GT2 seats are harness compatible but still fold....

the GT3 seats bolted right in. had to switch out the power connectors to get power to the seatbacks but all works fine...

Those are not really "GT3 seats." What we call them are *** seats--Adaptive Sport Seats. (Pictured here with the optional leather rears).

Actually, the seats the OP posted are not A.S.S as you suggest. They are the GT3 manual sport seats. And since we are being technical, technically, the OP can call them GT3 sport seats because they are not an available option on the base carrera/s models (note the alcantara inserts).
