Airbag light OFF all the time
Hi all,
Everybody else seem to have a problem with airbag light on all the time, but I have opposite problem: it is off all the time.
My understanding is that it should lit up when power is turned on and go off when engine is running. It's US model, 2001.
What do you suggest? Broken bulb or something worse....?

Unlike the other lights, the airbag light will only test when you first get into the car. Turn off the car, remove the key, lock the door, and then try again- it should come on for you.
The airbag light is on a different computer than the rest of the lights, I think; I almost failed inspection last year (even had the rejected sticker slapped on) because the mechanic was not familiar with Porsches and didn't know how to test it, and claimed it was burnt out.
