I recently had to replace the key FOB and use the replacement key to get my car moved (98 Boxster). Now that it was taken in for programming, I was told I need to replace the alarm ECU because the key new chipped key was not programmed to the car within 30 minutes of use. I wanted to know if a hack or code exist to reset the alarm ECU, or is replacement the only option.
