Bay Area "Monterey Fun Run"

"Monterey Fun Run to Rocky Point"
When: Saturday July 24th, 2010
Brief tour description:
We will be taking some great backroads from south San Jose area over to Watsonville, heading down Pacific Coast Highway 1 towards Monterey/Carmel area.
Destination is Monterey/Carmel for lunch at Rocky Point Restaurant on the Pacific Coast Hwy 1.
Maps and directions will follow by email.
Meet: We will meet in the south San Jose area (TBD) in the morning

Will need head count for lunch reservations. PLEASE RSVP TO: dedeseward@gmail.com ASAP with number of people.
I HAVE PUT A $500. DEPOSIT TO HOLD THE ROOM FOR US. THIS EVENT IS A GO! RAIN OR SHINE....
After lunch suggestion:
1. Visit the GGR-LPR Zone 7 Autocross at the Marina Airport that is also
happening on Saturday.
It would be fun to visit and view our Porsche friends racing.
7/24-7/25 Golden Gate and Loma Prieta and Zone 7 Autocross at Marina
Airport - off the Pacific Coast Hwy 1

2. You can continue south on PCH 1 towards Morro Bay for an extended weekend.
3. Spend time on your own in the Carmel/Monterey area.
4. Groups can head back via Carmel Valley Road to 101 north or go up the Pacific Coast Highway 1 back to the Bay Area/home.

I'd be in if I was home this weekend. Sounds like good fun. Rocky Point rest. is an excellent destination. Perched on the cliffs over the crashing surf below. Love it.

Lots of interesting people and their Porsches from Loma Prieta, Diablo and Golden Gate Regions will be attending. After lunch will stop at Marina Airport for Zone 7 PCA GGR/LPR autocross....to visit our friends!

I just talked to Dede and am going to try to make it as well...with my son.

No not yet.
Not only was he on the tour on Saturday,
Steve was at the autocross on Sunday all day.
So I am sure he will get to editing and uploading
his video(s) and photos in a few days or a week.
He will let me know. No worries, I can't wait to
see them too. I will let you know when I know.
