can you help....cdr 23 adding a cdc-4 6 cd changer
hello all,
please help i have just bought a " 02-05 PORSCHE 996 911 BOXSTER BECKER CDC-4 6 CD Changer
PART# 996.645.140.02" from ebay with brackets... can i connect it up to my cdr 23 and has anyone do it....

Yes, I've done it. After I made my eBay purchase of the CDC-4 as you did, I contacted the dealer for the wiring harness and fiber loop needed to connect it. At that point I realized I had made an error as the fiber loop would be costing me more than I paid for the cdc-4
. I finally broke down and purchased them and did the install, then you need to have it enabled by the dealer or someone with a PST2 or PIWIS. Now that it's finished, I'm happy I did it, but it cost me more than twice what I expected. If you become a contributing member at Renntech. org you can download the Porsche TSB's which will give detailed instructions on the install. Good luck.
