Has anybody removed the liner to the factory top? My top is in good condition, but the liner is coming apart at the front end and separating from the top. I see no reason to keep it there, and am not sure it can be repaired.

I can post pictures later, as I don't have a camera right now. Just wanted to find out if it was worth doing.

The original 986 came with no liner, so it should be possible to remove it.

My '00 986 has no liner,
