Default Dis-assembling Porsche/BBS Sport Design 2 piece wheels

Does anyone here have experience at dis-assembling and re-assembling these Porsche Sport Design 2 piece wheels made by BBS? It appears they take an 8 mm 12 point tool (which I have), but are there any tricks in how to remove these titanium (I think) bolts, and to re-assemble after the two pieces are re-finished? THANKS for any help and experience.

I had mine redone by a shop but I don't think its that hard just make sure you have torque specs, proper socket..etc.
Valco Clear Silicone 350 is good for reseal, I have heard different Torque specs... 12-15 lb/ft and 21-27 lb/ft so if any one knows for sure speak up. Maybe wheel enhancement can be nice enough to tell you.

Its just a 2 piece so it's not as big a deal as a 3 piece. They are great looking wheels!

Did you try posting in the wheel & tire forum?

Here is a link to a rebuild process on 3 piece wheels that may give you some insight. There was a good video of a pro-shop rebuilding wheels but I can't find it now. I think it was posted on the wheels forum.

Default Wheel disassembly

Check out CCW wheel's website. There is a technical section on how to take apart and re-assemble their wheels. Very informative.

Wow, interesting videos. Does that mean that every time you have to put new tires on these multi-piece wheels, that the shop will need to redo the silicone bead as well, cause if so, I may consider getting rid of my 3-piece wheels...too much work.
