Default accelerator does not work on a 02 S

I'm putting together an Boxster S that had a fire incident a year ago

and everything is coming together and i have the car started but the accelerator doesn't respond at all...

And when the car is running it jumps from 800 rpm to like 1200 rpm and if u put your feet on the brake pedal it's like that motor sufficates:S

I'm thinking vacuum but i can't find anything wrong

Do u guys have any idea on what can be wrong

When i got the car i was already taken apart sooooo i'm not 100% on the vacuum lines

A little more detail would be handy. eg was it an engine fire? cabin fire?.
How much taken apart?

It was a small engine fire.... it's like the gasoline line ripped...

there wasn't much damage but i changed the wiring loom for the whole engine and put the manifolds back on.

It's sounds just like this thread here but i can't get it to work

I need a vacuum diagram

As u can see there's no outer damage and everything else works fine

Nice colour, is that aero I option? I'd be interested in seeing a pic from both the front and rear .

It does seem to be a vaccum leak. I don't have a layout of the vac lines. I suggest checking over at renntech.org

Common for a Boxster engine when cold started to see the tach needle rise to 2000 then very guicky drop down to say 1200. The engine speed up at start up is real but engine speed should drop to fast idle level and from there drop as engine idles and warms up.

Idle should not fluctuate, rise and fall, even a bit.

If you step on brakes and this affects engine idle speed, this suggests the brake vacuum booster vacuum line might be leaking, incorrectly connected, or there could be a leak in the booster itself.

Find booster and any hoses from this and trace their route and see where they go.

In meantime, I'll see if I can find a vacuum line diagram.

Sincerely,

Macster.
