i had a bad dream last night; the motor went
I was driving the car and i felt some resistance. I came to a stop light and when i pulled out and got to 3rd gear, the motor blew. All i could think of was, damn.
I know it's not an everyday occurance, but what a terrible dream.
Maybe since i don't drive the thing too much b/c it's always raining, it's haunting me.

The fact that the web is a festering rumor house for this kind of occurance does no help either. We are convincing ourselves that this is a sure thing, when of the hundred or so 986 and 996 owners I know, none have had a problem.... yet.
That said, I am planning on an IMS retrofit... but I cannot figure out if Flat Six Innovation and LN Engineering is the same parts/process or if they are two different things.
Once that is done, trust me... I will proclaim my car as a re-inforced "IMS Retorfit" 986S, loud and proud.
P.S. not a drop of oil yet, plus my ,mechanic says that in his experience, not 1 car that has visited a track has developped this yet. Only cars that twiddle twaddle on the highway home at night, and even them... it is a rare occurance.
