GIAC Software upgrade on my '02 Boxster S
I just got a GIAC Software Upgrade on my 2002 Boxster S. I had it done at Porsche of The Main Line.
I've only had it a few days, but so far it is amazing! The throttle response is much better than before. When I'm accelerating in 2nd gear, I actually get thrown back in my seat.
I am also noticing a difference in 5th and 6th gear: Usually I'd have to downshift if I wanted to accelerate to pass someone. Now, I don't have to do that, I can leave it in gear and it picks up much quicker than before. The 15-20hp is definitely noticed!
If anyone is thinking of a software upgrade, I highly recommend GIAC!!

Why do I suspect a shill?
First and only message post from this user name. User joined this month. No mention of cost. No mention of any downside. No mention of any other mods that would make doing a chip-mod make sense. No dyno info to support the claim about the amount of HP increase.
BTW, Torque is what throws you back in your seat. Not HP.

I've dealt with more GIAC chips than I care to brag about and I just wish that they'd work like they're supposed to. I've seen many CEL lights. They even do the programming for the Evolution superchargers and they won't even listen to constructive critisism about how to make they're products work well (like not run lean) and pass smog in CA. I would never write a post like that about them myself.
So thanks for the advise Cody

Porsche of the main Line is in Philly. I checked their employeelist on their website but there's no Cody. Of course it could easily be a fake name since it's obviously a phony post....

FWIW: I just reread his post. I don't think he said he worked there, just that he had the work done there.
