Hi Guys,

Anyone know of a good independent mechanic in the metro Detroit area. I'm in Brighton and work in Troy so I would be willing to travel pretty far for a good one.

Not in Detroit, southeast of Cleveland, in the city of Twinsburg is a Porsche only shop called Steinels Autowerks. People come from all over to have their Porsches serviced by Eric Steinel. I have a 2000 Boxster S and a 944 Turbo S that they work on. Everything there is first rate in my opinion.

They are heavily into race car prep as well as street cars.
