Great job, I have 1 more mod for you. Replace those orange fog and side marker lamps with Hoen's white lamps. You won't see any orange through the lenses and at night the lamps all put out a cleaner(blue) white to match the Litronics. I installed them on my 997S and and they look great at night.... http://www.hoen-usa.com/

Still waiting on the shift ****. Hans said it should be anyday now - they hope so, because somewhere in that order is 2 RUF conversions that they need asap!

I will post pics when i get it. Also having the spacers put on the day they call me with the shifter.

Hey Doug & Julie - Traditionally I am a manual gearbox only guy. The same day I bought this car I drove a 968 and a Boxster S both with 6spds. For some reason I really enjoyed driving the Tip. Having driven other tips, this one behaves the most like a manual. I am really enjoying it so far.

De-Snorkeling - Has anyone tried this yet? I attempted to pull off the molded vent piece and couldn't release it from those tabs. I dont know how people get it off? Anyone have experience?

I just had it done. My independent was doing new CV boots for me and did it free of charge. I can tell you I love how it sounds, but am of no use when it comes to advice on how to actually do it.

Good to hear, thanks. Not sure what my next Boxster will be (depends on what else I have in the stable, I guess) but I could see myself with a Tip Boxster. There are just too many times in life (lately) where I need an autobox.

Cheers and enjoy that car!

Trust me not planning on trading it for a little noise but I put 35k miles on my Boxster driving on highways for work last year so the little things that don't bother you on short trips start to nag after a 5 hour trip. I have BFGoodrich Sports. Rough Texas highways don't help either (once you get outside the major cities). The solution was buy an Acura to drive for work, Boxster needed a break anyways.

Wow, that's a lot of miles every year! With the maintenance schedule of the Porsche, a Acura may not be such a bad option. Our roads are tough on these cars, even in the city.

I de-snorkled last night in about 10 minutes. It reminded me of when I turned my air cleaner lid over on my 74 Trans Am back in high school. Good ole memory lane!
There isn't much difference until you get on the gas and then you hear a more throaty sound. I'd love to hear it from the out side, but for now I'll just keep giving it gas.
