I have been a rennlist member since the beginning, but I have always owned 911's. I am currently in the market for a Boxster S and I found a car I think I like. Here are the details:
2000 Boxster S
27000 miles
Speed yellow, black interior
I think the only option it has is the sport touring package
Porsche sport exhaust (with original exhaust as well)
The car is very very clean with only a couple small stone chips on the front, and a very light scuff of the paint on the rear bumper behind the rear wheel. The top is in excellent condition with some scratches on the plastic window where it folds. Interior is perfect as far as I noticed. RMS was replaced at the local Porsche dealer about 3 years ago. Current owner is the second owner and has had the car for 5 years and 15K miles, It appears that he has only putted around town and never really driven the car.
What is the fair market price for a car like this?
Since I am not familiar with the entire Boxster S line-up over the years, is there a website I should read that has all of the changes in the cars over the years? Is a particular year much better or worse? Thanks for any and all help

Porsche Market Letter 3/2008 issue gives range of $15,900 to $31,999 with average of $23,088. Sounds like a great car. There are many buyers guides out there so take your time. Good luck!

Decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on this Boxster S. I will be picking it up at 7PM tonight and am very excited. The car is just too clean and well maintained to pass on, and it is located less than 10 minutes from my house.
Bought it for $20,500.

Doing my homework for a future addition to the garage. If anyone stumbles onto this thread, here's a GREAT link. Tons of Boxster information including the changes made each model year. No affiliation. Just refering folks to a good site. Congrats on the purchase!
