Default What's the highest miles anyone has seen on a Boxster?

This last weekend I turned 100k on our Boxster. I know in another thread on this list, I have seen a car from Louisana that has gone 170k. Anyone know of others? The only other one I have seen was a 98 with 138k, and it't engine was blown.

There's a "new" thread on PPBB of a Boxster with 200K miles.

Excuse me for being dumb, but what's PPBB? 200k is great, hope mine makes it close to that far.

Bill:

PPBB is "Porsche Pete's Boxster Board" at www.ppbb.com.

Go to the link for "the main event" and you will find some very interesting discussions there on everything Boxster. One of the members just went past the 200K mark and another (Pedro) is scheduled to pass it next year. And Pedro drives hard.

Regards, Maurice.

clutch and engine. (Most recent work was replacing the original battery and before that I had the original water pump replaced.)

Unless I get an offer to sell the car I can't refuse -- I do have an eye on a new/used Cayman or perhaps a used Carrera so an reasonable attempt at taking my Boxster off my hands could be accepted -- or God forbid an accident takes it off the road I don't see why it won't make 200,000 miles (at least) and I'm shooting for at least double that!

Heck, triple that (600,000 miles) ain't enough. Give me a million miles!

Sincerely,

Macster.

I've got almost 109k on my 2000 S and I'm not slowing down. I can't afford another car right now, so I don't have much of a choice. But it will have well over 200k before I probably let it go.

i'm pushing 130k. original engine and tranny. even original clutch! and i race it! it's honestly been pretty bullet proof considering what i put it through. it's the first sports car i've owned that seems to take my abuse without self destructing (knock on wood).

Thanks everyone who has responded. This gives me a good feeling about the car. My car at 100k looks pretty good, I have redone the seats, and put a glass window top on. Runs great also. Plan to keep it forever.

Well I've put a total of 127,000 miles on 3 Boxsters, my present '04 550 SE has 54,000 in less than 4 yrs.

Have done a total of 5 cross country trips and am presently in Palm Desert CA in the middle of the latest one.

No grass grows under this Boxster.

Let's see, bought my '06 S in November '05 and it now has 4000 miles on it. Looks like I will see 200/K in 2113....but that will make me 158 years old, wow!

If you decide to sell your 550SE and buy the new RS 60, let us know.

Chris

You can make the wife happy by ordering the RS 60 with gray interior and black top.

I think the red interior is beautiful, but haven't seen it with the red top up yet. That might be a deal killer.

Actually that was the plan - showed her the car in red, said she hated it but, if I wanted it she would didn't care, which means no around our house. Then I said oh, they also make it in dark grey with a black top! What could she say then other than "really" "her" B car is artic silver with black.

I think the price may be the deal killer - red or gray. The first figures I saw were an msrp around $65/K plus extras. Now I hear they will all come loaded to the max putting them close to entry level 911's. I think if I was going to make a move I might look around for a low mileage S cab one or two years old rather than going for a top dollar Boxster.
