The key I was using has been getting a bit intermittent in the remote function over the last while and last week it stopped working altogether. I changed the battery and it's still not working. The key still starts the car so it is nothing to do with the transponder.

The second key works perfectly as a remote so the receiver in the car is OK.

So the question is has the remote sender in the key died or does it need to be twinned with the car again after the battery change. I've looked in the repair manual and found nothing.

Any ideas, or should I just conclude dead key?
