I take my Boxster to Glenn's Porsche Service in San Dimas. It's not the closest, but he's really good (and really busy, too).

Glenn is also the safety person for San Gabriel PCA, his wife Christine is the VP for the region. He races a 951, she just finished SCCA school. They've both been very helpful in getting my Boxster set up for the track. I trust Glenn completely.

Scientific Automotive in Pasadena on Foothill (where else? EVERY car place in Pasadena is on Foothill). 626/795-7018 ask for Jack. They aren't cheap in my experience but they do good work.
Tell me more about the place in San Dimas _ since he campaigns a 951 he will likely be more familiar with my 944 than Scientific. My impression of them is that they're more comfortable with 911's.

Glenn's Porsche Service, 909-592-2066; it's pretty much a one man shop. Glenn and his wife Christine are very active in San Gabriel PCA; she's VP and Charity Chair, he's the Safety Chair and does all the tech inspections for events. Glenn seems to be pretty familiar with all Porsches, but, yes, he knows the 944/951 very well.

I'm very pleased with his work, he's very careful and thorough. Also, he's willing to take the time to educate me. I say the biggest problem I've had is that the week before any big event, they're swamped with race cars as well as getting their car ready.

If you're a SGV PCA member, come to the Christmas brunch on Dec. 9 and meet them. If you're not, why not think about joining?

Glenn is very well respected and he knows his stuff. When I live in that area attending college. I'd bring my car in there for service.

I took my Boxster there (Glenn) for service, he is good and helpful. Very fair price he charges. Thanks Pat.
