Would u buy a high mileage boxster???
Looking to spend in the low 20's for a boxster. Found a nice 98 with 50,000K. Any opinions on purchasing a boxster with such high mileage?

I do not think that is such high mileage. Of course we are all used to seeing low miles on sports cars...My 2000 S has 9000 miles...
But if was well maintained and with records it is probably fine.
Only thing to consider, is that if you plan on only keeping it a short time you might have the same 'problem' selling it..
Good luck

I own a 98 boxster. Purchased new in December of 97. I just turned 61k miles. The car runs as NEW.
Have a PPI by a reliable mechanic. Check the motor mounts, known for cracking in 97-98. Make sure regular maintenance has been performed, brakes, rotors, clutch, etc has been checked. Remember, the 60k service is around the corner. Work that into your purchase price.
By waiting 5 years, you saved yourself around $15,000!!!!

I have a '99 Boxster with 82k. Bought it new. Thinking about going with a S/C at 100k. The car keeps getting better. I am on the road a lot and drive everywhere in this car. Not ONE problem, and the car still looks great!
