We're having cold weather, but so far avoiding the snow. Still, I'm leaving the winter tires on until the weekend...just in case!

It's been so long since I bought new wheels and tires, I almost forgot how cool the car is going to look!

what dealership decided to exercise this hefty option? Does a rebuilt engine put your odometer back at zero with the DMV?

Joseph Northland Porsche here in Cinci, OH. No, there is still mileage on the car, so a "new" motor only matters to...well, me. (..or the next buyer if I have to sell this car.)

I'm glad to hear it worked out well for you. Just in time for Spring...if it ever arrives!

You ain't kidding! We went ahead and changed the wheels today despite the temps still in the 40s. I now have a '99 Forester to drive in bad weather, so I figured we're safe with the Boxster.

Love these wheels, by the way...

Glad it worked out for you Doug. I hope you can keep it for a while and enjoy the "new" parts

Wheels look great. I'm curious as to what tires you chose?

Thank Ray. I went with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A "Pole Position" tires (the sizes ellude me at the moment).

They're very highly rated and just a little bit cheaper than any Michelin or Pirelli or Yokohama comparible tire. First impressions are good, but I've barely driven on them...
