Post Rattle from the top

Does anyone have a cure for a rattle from the top. It's really quite annoying on a bumpy road. It comes from both sides of the car when the top is up, and stops if I crack open the windows slightly. Someone had mentioned "Gummi-Pflege" rubber lubricant from BMW. I tried it on the door seal on one side, but it did not make much difference. I was hesitant to put it in too many places as the owners manual says not to put anything on the roof seals as they are treated with some special anti-friction coating.
(I took it to the dealer last year with the same complaint - they put some kind of lubricant on the rubber seals, and it seemed a bit quieter for about 2 days!)

Don't put ANYTHING on that top!!!!!

My girlfriend took her Boxster to the dealership with the same complaint. It was fixed in 20 minutes and stayed squeak free (until it's crash).
If the dealership is good and REALLY knows what they are doing, this shouldn't be any hassle. Try another dealership.

Good luck.

I have to take the car to the dealer in about a week to get the oil changed (before it snows!)
I'll let you know what they do about the roof rattle.

Didn't mean to get so excited.
From what I understand, however, it is a matter of some bolt tightening.

Good Luck.
