Default What do you think about this boxster??

2001 Boxster with a beautiful exterior color I have never seen, and my favorite interior color. Its price is at 19,000. It lists as only 1 mile, so I won't know the real mileage until tomorrow...what do you guys think? I think the exterior is awesome looking, but I don't know if I would like it for the next few years...what do you think?

There's an '01 Boxster S for sale with the same color scheme in PA. I kinda like it. You would be pretty unique in the Boxster world...which is hard to do.

Remember, you'll spend more time looking at the interior, so if you like that, you'll probably be fine with the exterior color since you'll only see it getting in and out of the car.

Could be Forest green, definitely not a popular color but I always liked it. IMO all Porsches look cool in green, and the savannah beige is perfect with it. That interior looks like no one ever sat in it let alone driven it. I'd be interested. Can't beat the price and mileage, no doubt... that's as good as it gets. Just PPI it and make sure it's accident-free etc, but I'm sure you know this.

The lack of 17" wheels would be another negotiating point, FWIW. But the ones on it look to be in nice shape. If you upgrade to 17s, you can sell them to a 944 owner.

Good point, pl. Before this I've only seen two Forest Green Porsches ever, and both had a real hard time selling. It could be the Teal also. Hard to tell with the lighting and hue variations among cameras.

Just to balance out the negative comments, I love that color. There is one near me and every time it drives by, I stare at it. I ended up with Arctic Silver and Metropol Blue. But, in my opinion, that color gives it a fun, sporting look, and emphasizes the lines on the car. Of course, I am somewhat biased to green Porsches .... (on the other hand, I hated the green on my 911 when I first bought it, but bought it anyway because it was original factory paint, and I grew to love it, and it's still factory paint).

the only thing I would ask is if you are planning to keep the car for several years. I rarely keep cars for more than 1 1/2 years to 2 years ( I get bored with tnem, always think this one's a keeper, and always trade them in after a year or so) and since I know I have a habit of going thru cars faster than most, I wouldn't buy the green one, since it may be harder to unload/less of a trade in desirability once I got bored with it. I've seen a couple green ones that have been for sale for months with no takers, great shape cars, low noles, just green.

BUT if you like it, than buy it. It's a unique color (in a good way, I have seen a bright teal one, and an electric blue one, and I would not say those were unique in a good way)

I am a silver fan, silver porsche, silver jag, had a silver mustang, silver cadillac...
