Where to buy new rear badge decal (US)?
Hello all,
I just picked up a used 2000 S, and one of the only defects is part of the letter "B" is missing on the rear badge. Does anyone know where I can buy a new badge set for the S in the US?
I came across this link, but it is in the UK

You might consider a different one. I replaced my plastic chrome BoxsterS with a seal grey 986 with a red S from bumper plugs. Expensive at $80 but you can get just black from a 968 and reagarrange the numbers and order just the red S from bumper plugs.
I have artic sIlver so I thought the Seal Grey would look better than black
I wanted to replace it with a smaller badge because my original BoxsterS badge was broke in half by the carwash guy when he was drying it. Makes polishing the paint easier too.

Just remove it as suggested above. I gives a great clean look to the back of the car. I have done it on both of my Boxsters.
I just picked up my second boxster (a 2000 2.7) on Sunday.
First three things I did on Sunday when I got home:
1. Washed the 350 miles of road grime off.
2. Installed smoked front parking light lenses (had them left over from my first boxster)
3. Removed the Boxster emblem on the trunk.
I used dental floss to remove the emblem from the body. Then used some light citrus degreaser to help remove most of the redsidue. When as much of that was gone as possible, I used some pre-wax paint work cleanser (Maguire's). Had to do the last step a few times but now you can't tell it was there.
It looks great.
