Gretting from a happy new S owner
Hello All,
I am the proud new Daddy of a 2000 Boxster S, which I researched extensively for weeks... many of the hours were spent on these forums, so thank you all for the information, even if I was lurking! ;-)
I am sure I will have many questions in the week to come, as I bought the car used from a Toyota dealer who didn't have the first clue about the Boxster. Maybe that is why I was able to get it for such a good price (I think)... 24K miles for 25,800.
I've only put about 30 miles on it so far, but it will be 60 and sunny in Boston today, so I will be out for a looooooong cruise soon! :-)

Welcome, I have the same. Paid 30K with 10K miles in Nov. 04. So my car is down $3-4 after a year and a half? Not too bad me thinks.
I also purchased a trade-in from an Acura dealer and they had no clue either. THe sales coldn't figure out how to get to the engine cover. They kept it in the extra showroom for two weeks while I sold my 94 Miata.
Sounds like you got the best option for the money. I tell all my friends interested in a roadster that if they are going to get a P-car to get at least a 2000 and to get the S with under 30K miles if possible.
