Radio Memory Loss
#3
Damn, I had a feeling it might be THEM. I lined the softtop with tinfoil, but apparently that wasn't enough.
Seriously, though, I can't for the life of me figure out why just one portion of the memory will go stupid like that. I guess I'm stuck taking it to the dealer, but I'm pretty sure that they'll say that they can't do anything unless I get lucky enough for it to happen the day I take it there.

The Becker Head Unit is the weakest link in current model Porsches. My phone is hooked up to it through a Motorola Pro install kit, and about every 3rd call, the radio blanks out, all presets go to '0' and I have to reset the damn thing.
Becker knows about it, yet does nothing to resolve. Sucks. Same goes for my old '99, had 3 head units, all crap. Becker is the problem. Best of luck.
Do you have anything connected to it?

I'd have to pull out the manual to get the exact model number, but it's an '03 with the Bose package. And I don't have anything connected to it as far as I know. There's always the possiblilty that the previous owner may have tapped into it for some reason.
