Please please let me know who ends up with it. Porsche wants you to by the whole lower control arm even if all you need is the $ 4.00 rubber dust boot. It's insane!

well, i would be the one delivering to sacramento. i'd do it as long as the buyer pays associated costs, etc.

That lower control arm in the rear was just replaced on mine due to some idiot PO using the control arm as a jacking point. The whole thing was just over $100 if recall.

You can buy replacement boots at just about any parts store. Measure the one you have and match it up with a universal of similar size. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same shape just as long as it covers the entire ball joint. Now if you want to look for an exact replacement you can try this. I remember buying a replacement lower ball joint boot for my ’85 928 at the local Audi dealer. They were for the ’88 5000 I believe.
